Conference Speaker on Niqab Ruling

Prof. Clifford Orwin, Professor of Political Science, Classics and Jewish Studies at the University of Toronto, is a featured plenary speaker at the "Our Whole Society" conference (Vancouver, March 22-24). Prof. Orwin recently wrote an opinion piece in the Globe and Mail arguing for respect for religious differences when it comes to women wearing the niqab while taking the oath of Canadian citizenship.

"Our Whole Society" will be an opportunity for learning and conversation on living well with deep diversity in Canadian society – indeed, living better because of it. We need more opinions like Prof. Orwin's to help make that happen.
