Holocaust Education Week: The Holocaust and Now

Dates: Sunday, November 3 to Sunday, November 10, 2019
Location: various locations throughout the city of Toronto, as well as London and St. Catharine's, ON

2019 marks the 75th anniversary of the Holocaust and the 39th year of Holocaust Education Week (HEW) organized by The Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre. This year’s Holocaust Education Week will examine the Holocaust from multiple contemporary perspectives, illuminating its relevance to all Canadians today. Through panels, conversations, films, musical performances, theatre and exhibitions – HEW 2019 offers different ways for existing and new audiences to engage with the narratives of the Holocaust.

Events start as early as mid-October and continue through the end of November with the majority of programming taking place the week of November 3-10. Many of the events during Holocaust Education Week are free and open to the public, but some events require registration (which opens on October 3).
