Storytelling Workshop/Playshop with Norman Perrin

The Intercultural Dialogue Institute GTA is hosting a storytelling workshop/playshop with Norman Perrin entitled Story as a Bridge between Hearts: Story Listening - Story Telling - Story Creation

The Workshop will be in two parts: 

  • The Tongue is Fire 
    Goal of talk: To explore the many roles and uses of storytelling/listening 
    Introduction and Opening Exercise: The Story of Your Name 
    Story as Resistance 
    Story as Teacher 
    Listener as Co-creator of the Story
     
  • Story Stone Playshop 
    Goal of playshop: Creating and retelling our own story. 
    Opening Tale from the Story Stone 
    Dancing Lion, by Saburah Royce
    Kidnapped by Monkeys

Light refreshments will be served during the event. Each participant is expected to share a story with the group, and the workshop will end with a Q&A session.
