Mandate
Our Mandate:
The Canadian Interfaith Research Centre for Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE) was founded by the Canadian Interfaith Conversation with the aim to provide leadership to interfaith research across Canada by supporting existing initiatives, bolstering emerging projects, and helping to identify needs in interfaith dialogue and practice.
Building on the experience and knowledge of the Canadian Interfaith Conversation, CIRCLE will further existing interfaith dialogue and practice through an enhanced understanding of promising practices in the field.
CIRCLE plans to accomplish its goal by engaging researchers from the different areas of study touching on interfaith issues and dialogue (theology, religious studies, philosophy, political science, etc.) as well as practitioners, religious leaders, and community activists, and by providing them with resources and offering administrative support.
