Multifaith Action Society of BC on Mosque Shooting

The Multifaith Action Society unequivocally condemns the senseless act of violence and hatred that claimed the lives of six Muslim-Canadians this past Sunday at the Centre culturel islamique de Québec. We want to express our condolences to the families of the deceased and injured, and assure the Muslim community that we stand with you in solidarity at this most difficult time. We embrace all religions, and are steadfast in our belief that dialogue and cooperation between people of different cultures provides the antidote to fear and hatred. Multiculturalism is an essential element of the Canadian national fabric, and we hope that people of all faiths can join together in condemning violence in the name of religion and in reaching out to each other with love and respect.
