Mysticism of the Sufis

On April 17, 2018, there will be a free academic lecture on Mysticism of the Sufis at Centre Place, Toronto, ON. As a followup to her presentation on the diverse expressions of Islam, Shaheen Bagha will share about the rich traditions of Sufi mysticism. From the famous whirling dervishes to poets and ascetics, Sufism cuts across Muslim sectarian divides and provides an important, inward dimension for the religion, which receives little notice outside the movement.

PLEASE NOTE: NO WHIRLING DANCES OR LIVE MUSIC WILL TAKE PLACE. THIS EVENT IS AN ACADEMIC LECTURE.

This presentation will be livestreamed at centreplace.ca.  The presentation ends around 9:00. The exchange of ideas usually continues until 10, or even later, while we share complimentary snacks and beverages.

Location: Centre Place, 320 Richmond St E - Unit 101, Toronto, ON M5A 1P9.

Free. There is no cost for this event but donations ($5 suggested) are greatly appreciated.
