Turning the Tide Against Poverty

Turning the Tide Against Poverty is an forum that will take place on November 24, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 9:30 am at the Queen's Park legislative buildings.

Senator Art Eggleton will speak and engage with forum participants and a panel of experts on issues concerning the poor. His range of topics will include, among others, his views on Guaranteed (basic) income and the impact and role of advocacy organizations in shaping public policy. We hope to have MPPs talk to us from their political platforms on issues concerning poverty in Ontario. After lunch, we will continue to deliberate on and debrief the morning session in addition to being updated on current advocacy initiatives around housing and decent work.

You can register on Eventbrite or by contacting coordinator@isarc.ca.  The $45 registration fee ($25 for students) includes lunch. Forum organized by Ontario's interfaith anti-poverty coalition, ISARC (Interfaith Social Assistance Reform Coalition).
